Masjidku

Privacy policy

Last updated 4 November 2026. This page is public and does not require a login.

Masjidku is developed by Ecotel. This policy explains what the Android and iOS app handles when you use prayer times, qibla, Quran, doa, reminders, and an optional account.

Information you give us

You can use the main worship tools without creating an account. If you register or complete a profile, we store what you submit:

Passwords are stored by the account service so you can sign in. We do not use this information for advertising.

Location

Prayer times and qibla need to know where you are. If you allow location, the app reads it while you are using those features and sends the position, or the zone derived from it, to prayer-time and place-name services. That is how the schedule and qibla direction match your area.

If you decline location, those two features cannot be calculated for your current place. The app does not track your location in the background for ads.

Notifications and what stays on your phone

If you allow notifications, the app schedules prayer reminders on the device, including sound when the phone is silent if you allow critical alerts. Favourites, language, prayer tracking, and similar preferences stay on the device.

Saving an infaq QR code writes that image to your photo library. The app does not upload your photos. Masjidku does not record microphone audio. A playback library used for azan may declare that permission, and no microphone recording is stored.

Services that receive data

To show content, the app contacts:

Those providers process the request needed to answer the feature. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Account details stay until you delete the account or ask us to remove them. Some transaction, accounting, or security records may be kept where the law requires it. Data stored only on your phone remains until you clear the app or delete the account on that device.

Children

Masjidku is a general worship app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices

You can turn off location and notifications in the phone settings. You can delete an account from inside Masjidku. The steps and what is removed are on the account deletion page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated page will show a new date at the top. Continuing to use Masjidku after that date means you are using the app under the updated policy.

Contact. Ecotel, developer of Masjidku. Questions about this policy or a request to delete personal data can be sent to the developer email on the Masjidku Play listing, or started from the account deletion screen in the app.
